yes this is a temporary solution
i wanted to move from the ugly tower to a wooden studio rack that’s going to house a few more things, and got this case for that. it’s a tight fit, but the front-to-back airflow makes up for it (just needs enough static pressure to push through those disks).
the radiator and pump are obviously going to be external. several things to note here:
so far so good. now i just need to write the rest of the UI stuff on this thing, and then just use USB to tell it what to display.
so most of the work is going to be hooking it up to pulseaudio, mpd, home automation etc.
once all that works, we’re gonna be able to control all that stuff from the rack’s front panel. neat!
